From this clip of the popular comedy show, 'Family Guy', the television commercial infers that most doctors in America are Jewish. This commercial repeatedly emphasizes over the fact that the doctor is Jewish and that he is doing laser eye surgeries for a ridiculously low price. Before the devastating Holocaust, Hitler allowed the Jews to leave Germany and immigrate to other countries, for a short period of time. Most of the Jews left Germany to search for new hopes, while others stayed in Germany, who were sent to the concentration camps later. Most of the civilians who ran away ended up in other nearby European countrises or America. It was extremely tough for the Jews to assimilate into their new countries. They had no jobs, no shelter and no food. Their only option was to study hard and enroll in top colleges, so they could escape poverty, which is quite similar to the Koreans, during the Chosun Dynasty. After those generations of Jews, it became a standard for the descendents to become doctors, lawyers or businessmen. That is when others began to discriminate and dislike the Jews for their prosperous lives. It is awkward and ridiculous to witness that a popular television show such as 'Family Guy' displays racism. Althogh some people might find the joke comical and hilarious, they still have to be aware that the Jewish people might be watching the show too. The Americans are not the only people in this world because diversity of people is common in the world today. Instead of discriminating certain people because they have something special that we don't have, we should learn to appreciate their cultures and differences.
