Definition of a book and its uses (Young Tae Seo)

Books are a collection of sheets of paper, parchment or other materials with a piece of text written on them, bound together along one edge within the soft or hard covers. There are various types of books, such as magazines, journals or newspapers. Books are bought, borrowed and read by many different age groups, ranging from little babies to old grandfathers. Books are filled with knowledge, perceptions and opinions of many different topics for all age groups. Most adults read books for entertainment, while most high school students forcefully read, in order to raise their SAT scores. Most books are read, starting from top left of the page, ending at the bottom right of the page. (With the exceptions of Japanese books, which starts from top right and ends at bottom left.)
